Law Practice

Lauren Bernadett is a natural resources lawyer who has counseled private and public clients through litigation and administrative processes. She has handled several stages of litigation in state and federal courts, including the Court of Federal Claims. Lauren’s substantive experience is diverse, covering many aspects of water law, natural resources law, administrative law, and contract law.

Lauren earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she was the Joyce A. Will Scholar in Environmental Law. She went on to receive her LL.M. in agricultural and food law from the University of Arkansas School of Law, where she focused on water law in agriculture.

Lauren has a particular expertise in aquaculture regulation and compliance. She serves as the legal advisor for the California Aquaculture Association and has advised clients on several legal hurdles aquaculturalists face.

Lauren has published and spoken at several conferences and industry meetings on aquaculture, and planned the first California Aquaculture Law Symposium at the UCLA School of Law. She has also worked with the National Aquaculture Association to address discrete issues in federal law.
